Today in America TV Examines Renewable Energy Sources and Their Importance Now

July 31st, 2012 § Comments Off § permalink

The United States relies heavily on coal, oil and natural gas to keep it going. These are fossil fuels that have a finite supply of energy or a limited supply of energy that will someday run out. What will happen when that day arrives? What will we have to use to keep the lights on, the refrigerator running, and allow us to wash and dry our clothing?  Today in America with Terry Bradshaw examines the sources and their importance.

Using ocean generated hydro power to provide energy

Using Nature’s Resources Instead

Renewable, alternative and sustainable energy are all alike. These terms are commonly used when wondering if there will be enough power in the future to keep things running. Today in America TV examines the sources of energy being tested today to ensure there is enough for tomorrow. America is on the move as it researches energy generated from wind, the run, water and biomass. Wind turbines and solar panels are easy enough to spot. Water derived from rain and snow is called hydro power and can be used to power almost anything. Biomass is the source that comes from plants in the ground and is used to power vehicles and run machinery mostly.

Why Is This Important

• Renewable energy is clean energy which helps save the ozone layer which in turn lessen the effects of climate change or global warming.
• It saves the Earth for our children, their children and for future generations.
• Dollars earned from renewable energy are usually spent in the States, mostly in the same city or town where it was made. More money earned means more jobs and in some cases, more jobs for military veterans, as most of the revenue for renewable energy goes toward production workmanship.
